The first human investigated the greenhouse effect

In 1824, Mr. Joseph Fourier was the first human being to have discovered the greenhouse effect, while Mr. Syvante Arrhenius was the first human being to have investigated the greenhouse effect, in the year of 1896. This is what they have discovered:

When emissions of infrared radiation from specific sources warms Earth's surface, this creates what is known as the "Greenhouse Effect". Such source that causes infrared radiation is the Sun, for example. Also, the greenhouse effect could be created when the atmosphere itself warms the surface of the Earth. This comes from the analogy of internal warming of a greenhouse thus compared to a form of heat that is external.

Radiation. This is how the Earth receives energy from the Sun. This is done mainly as convection and conduction and it is not possible through the "vacuum effect", above, in outer space.
Earth's average surface temperature: 15 degrees Celsius / 59 degrees Fahrenheit.

The greenhouse effect has created a recent warning. This is due to the fact that the lower atmosphere of Earth is warming up. This result has been the blame of enhanced greenhouse effects because of greenhouse gas concentration increases into the atmosphere. Earth is, however, not the only planet scientists have discovered have greenhouse effects. Other planets such as Mars and Venus have also shown signs of the greenhouse effect.

Through the clouds and large parcels of land, Earth reflects 30% (thirty) of all incoming radiation. Remaining, you have 70% (seventy) of radiation which is absorbed. This absorbation warms Earth's land. The clouds are good radiators; however, they are not good conductors due to their colour being white. That being said, most of the radiation is coming through the clouds you see up in the sky.

What provides the basis for computing interactions between molecules and radiation? The answer is Quantum mechanics. When the frequency of radiation precisely matches up with spectral lines of each molecule, this is when most of the interaction happens.
Pressure broadening determines the Earth's atmosphere and almost all of the infrared absorption in the Earth's atmosphere may be thought of as occurring while two molecules are colliding.

Common gases that appear to cause the greenhouse effect are the following:
H2O (36%), CO2 (12%), O3 (3%).

These gases though not the major gases in the atmosphere as compared to oxygen and nitrogen. They all can absorb well, thanks to their quantum make-up.
.

Positive feedback occurs when there's an increase in greenhouse gases as they're absorbing heat. This then creates increases in evaporation, thus creating H2O gas. This then turns into the Greenhouse Effect.

"Runaway Feedback" occurs when greenhouse gas decreases. This causes the Earth to cool down and slows the movement of molecules.
